Specialty Ornamentals is a small woody plant nursery specializing in garden worthy plants that are sometimes hard to find. We propagate our own plants by seed, cuttings or grafting, so we can assure our customers that they are getting plants that are true to name and grown in the SE. We evaluate plants for years before we decide to include them in our inventory. We are always striving to grow plants that will have a special place and purpose in your garden. Some of the plants we specialize in are drought tolerant natives and exotics, and heat tolerant conifers and Japanese maples. We also grow a wide range of Hydrangeas and Viburnums. Whatever the plant, we intend to grow the best plants we can, and we can tell you why we think they are the best. |

Meadowbrook Nursery/We-Du Natives is a retail and mail order nursery located in Marion, NC that was established in 1981. We grow and sell a wide variety of both native and non-native species, with a strong emphasis on plants native to the Southeastern US. Our specialties are Native Azaleas, Rhododendrons, Mountain Laurels and wildflowers, but we also offer a wide variety of unusual and desirable trees, shrubs and perennials. Our retail nursery is open Weds.-Sat from 9am-5pm, and our website is open 24/7 at www.we-du.com with lots of information and a downloadable catalog. |

Blooming Idiots is a small garden nursery/greenhouse in St. Matthews. We are located across the street from the local farmers market. We also offer arbors, birdhouses, feeders and many other garden related items. |
Monticello Gardens & Nursery |
Monticello Gardens & Nursery was established in 2002 by Richard Hager. We invite you to walk through the gardens surrounding Richard's on-site residence. You will find many interesting plants that support beneficial insects, birds, and butterflies. We attempt to stock plants and offer advice that you can't get at the big box stores. If an item isn't available, we will help you locate it. The Garden Shoppe staff at Monticello Gardens is also knowledgeable about pottery, plants, and putting the two together. (Richard reports that: I am a professed plant addict who opened the nursery as a means of supporting my addiction.) We are located on State Highway 215 (Monticello Rd.), .5 miles south of Highway 34 (Salem Crossroads), and 10 miles north of Jenkinsville. |

Shady Characters is a local nursery specializing in herbaceous perennials for the shady woodland garden. With an original emphasis on Hostas, the nursery has expanded to include other companion plants. Numerous species of Heucheras, Tiarellas, Ferns and Hardy Gingers are available along with many other plants that are unusual and hard to find. All of the plants that we sell are trialed in display beds at the nursery in order to determine their garden worthiness for our climate. The display beds also allow customers to see mature plants and how they can be incorporated into a southern landscape. |

Roses Unlimited is located in a quiet country setting in Laurens County, SC. We invite you to come visit our greenhouses/nursery and walk through our gardens. The greenhouses are usually in full bloom during mid-April with the gardens in full bloom mid-May. We are currently celebrating our 20th year in business. We offer many rare, hard to find varieties of roses. We also offer a large selection of easy care roses (minimal care, highly disease resistant without needing chemicals) such as the ADR's from Europe and the EarthKind from America. All of our roses are grown in greenhouses and are actively growing when shipped. The 1200+ varieties of roses are on their own root system and are not grafted. Nurseries Caroliniana, Inc. was founded in 1972 in North Augusta, SC, as a local garden center catering to gardeners looking for rare and unusual plants. Our wholesale division ships to a good portion of the southeast, with the mail order division shipping throughout the U.S. as well as many foreign countries. Over 10 years ago, we began traveling on an annual basis to Europe and Japan in search of the best new plant introductions for the Deep South. Our plant list runs well over 2000, with new plants being offered each season. Many of these plants have never before been introduced to the Western Hemisphere. We have also developed many new cultivars on site. We are located just off of I-20 at exit 5, one hour from Columbia, 15 minutes from Augusta, and 20 minutes from Aiken. Nursery tours are available by appointment for groups of 15 or more. The retail garden center is open 6 days a week with the wholesale division open 5 days a week. |
